Education: Full-time university student, studying a Bachelor of Liberal Studies with a double major in English and Psychology at the University of Sydney. Member of MENSA since 19th June, 2006.

 

Heritage: Half Lebanese, half Indian, born in Australia.

 

Titles: Miss Bankstown 2005, Miss NSW 2005, Miss World Australia Swimsuit 2005, 1st Runner-Up to Charity Queen 2005, Miss World Australia 2006, Miss Asia Pacific 2006, 2nd Runner-Up to Miss World 2006 & Miss Grand Slam 2006.

 

Awards: Certificate Of Commendation by the NSW Parliament for her achievements. Young Ambassador Trophy by Bankstown Mayor for being a role model for the youth of today. Finalist in Bankstown Young Australian of the Year awards. Youth Ambassador for Youth of The Streets.

 

Favourite music: Ballads and golden oldies.

 

Favourite books: The Witches of Eileanan series by Kate Forsyth, as well as almost any book with depth and genius of imagination.

 

Favourite movies: The Shawshank Redemption, Kill Bill Volumes I & II, The Sound of Music, V for Vendetta, The Breakfast Club, The Prestige.

 

Hobbies: Reading, writing and singing.

 

Employment: TV presenter with The Wedding Show, model, motivational speaker, Master of Ceremonies, charity aid worker.

 

Aspirations: To further establish herself as an international brand and charity ambassador and complete her Liberal Studies degree with the ultimate goal of pursuing a career as a diplomat. Sabrina also aspires towards abolishing unfair representation of minority groups in the media as well as correcting common misconceptions about the pageantry world. Having helped to raise over 3.5 million dollars for charities across the globe, Sabrina has now set her sights on hitting the 10 million dollar mark by her 25th birthday.

 

Sabrina’s Personal Motto: “He, who wishes to secure the good of others, has already secured his own”.

 

“As Miss Australia it is my great privilege to work with hundreds upon thousands of people who are striving to raise funds for charities all across my country, with causes ranging from medical illnesses to social difficulties, health education and natural disasters. I feel especially drawn to helping children in need because even the most disadvantaged children I have met, have always astounded me with their strength of opinion, stubborn love of life and charming innocence in the face of adversity. For this reason I have always pooled my most driven efforts towards raising funds for and personally spending time with sick, disabled & otherwise disadvantaged children.

The Miss World motto, “Beauty With A Purpose”, is an incredible vehicle for raising much-needed funds for charity throughout the international community, and to date the women of Miss World have raised over $400 million. I am proud to be one of them.”
