What we do.
The Forsight Foundation for Deaf and Blind Adults provides accommodation and support and facilitates training for people who are deaf and blind with multiple disabilities (such as epilepsy, paraplegia, cerebral palsy and intellectual impairment). Most will need a lifetime of care and support.
All our group homes are found in typical family neighbourhoods where our residents, supported by our trained staff, enjoy everyday family living.
What is deafblindness?
Deafblindness (or dual sensory loss) is the combination of both hearing and vision impairment. People with deafblindness have varying degrees of combined hearing and vision impairment. A person may be hard of hearing and totally blind, or profoundly deaf and partially sighted, or have nearly complete loss of both senses.
How we're managed
The Foundation has a fulltime staff headed by our Chief Executive Officer and Accommodation Services Manager. Forsight is governed by a Board of Directors (who contribute their time and skills voluntarily) and who are responsible for the overall direction of the Foundation.

Donations.
Donations over $2 are tax deductible and a receipt is issued. All donations are much appreciated.
Bequests.
The Foundation's Wills and Bequests Program enables you to leave a lasting contribution... please request full iinformation.
Form a luncheon group or staff giving program.
We'll be glad to help you organise appropriate ways to raise funds on our behalf... just ask.
Volunteers are valued.
